Just when you thought crime couldn’t get much scarier, our city is now the victim of a drive by shooting. Luckily nobody was hurt in the incident, caught on camera at 7:00 a.m. on Jan. 31.

York Regional Police issued a statement today, asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects, who were in a red/orange hatchback.

Although the home security footage does not identify the make, model and colour of the vehicle; it does confirm that three men were involved in the shooting.

Their investigation is also indicating that the shots fired were targeted.

It also shows them pulling up in front of a residence on Macklin Street (at McCowan Rd. and Highglen Ave.) and firing shots from inside and outside the vehicle.

At first, one man exits the vehicle and begins shooting directly at the house, only for a second man to fire additional shots before speeding away.
