Community organizations like 360 Kids, Addiction Services for York Region, Alzheimer’s Society of York Region, Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) – York Region and South Simcoe, Carefirst Seniors and Community Services Association, CHATS, Krasman Centre, LOFT, Local Family Doctors, Markham Stouffville Hospital, Restore Canada, York Support Services Network teamed up to hear feedback from their most important stakeholders.
Connecting Care was the name of the event taking place the evening of August 15th, with patients, families and caregivers gathering to give their feedback.
In promising that their collective voices with help in shaping the health care services they rely on, Connecting Care is also informing the community how their input is being applied.
Dozens of volunteer spokes persons attended the event that also accommodated guests with free parking and refreshments.
Clients, patients and caregivers who have, and are continuing, to use healthcare services in the community are encouraged to continue giving their feedback.
