The Markham Community Wellness Group (MCW) held its COVID Summer Seminar August 9th in the great outdoors, allowing for attendees to safely gather while social distancing. The meeting place was Main Street Unionville’s Millennium Bandstand. The discussion centered on how the pandemic impacted everyone’s summer, along with coping techniques and takeaways. Health and fitness at home, coping with being laid off from work and the QuaranTEA podcast were covered. Participants also received copies of the book “The Cat is Scared” by Carolyn Neary – dedicated to front line workers and benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Residents of Markham are encouraged to join the Markham Community Wellness Group on Facebook.
